The Board generally meets at 8:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month at the Sparta Wastewater Treatment Facility, located at 6605 State Route 229, Sparta, Ohio 43350.

The Zoning Commission, Tom Clark (Chairman), Clay Hilton (Vice Chairman), Chris Barnett (Secretary), Jay Coe and Harlan Wilson are appointed resident volunteers focused on reviewing and making recommendations regarding zoning code and map amendments.

The South Bloomfield Township Zoning Commission will be holding a public meeting on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Sparta Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 6605 State Route 229 Sparta, OH 43350. The Commission will hold the following scheduled public hearings regarding submitted application(s) and may make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees to approve, deny or conditionally approve the applications.


7:15 p.m. – Brian R. & Kari D. Carder, property owner, is requesting to rezone 1.98 acres, parcel N36-001-00-287-07, located at 6505 State Route 229, Marengo OH 43334 from AR-1 (agricultural - residential) to C-1 (local business district) for construction of a retail store in accordance with Section 1204 of the South Bloomfield Township Zoning Resolution.

7:15 p.m. – Matt Wagner, property owner, is requesting a Conditional Use Permit for an automotive repair shop on 3.210 acres, parcel N36-001-00-153-02 & N36-001-00-154-00, located at 6282 State Route 229, Marengo OH 43334, located in the M-1 (light industrial district) in accordance with Section 1104 of the South Bloomfield Township Zoning Resolution.


8:15 p.m. – BillDur Rentals, LLC, property owner, is requesting a Conditional Use Permit for climate controlled storage facility on 7.353 acres, parcel N36-001-00-288-03, located at 6713 State Route 656, Marengo OH 43334, located in the C-1 (local business district) in accordance with Section 1104 of the South Bloomfield Township Zoning Resolution.

7:30 p.m. – BillDur Rentals, LLC, property owner, is requesting to rezone 7.353 acres, parcel N36-001-00-288-03, located at 6713 State Route 656, Marengo OH 43334 from AR-1 (agricultural - residential) to M-1 (light industrial district) for construction of climate controlled storage facility in accordance with Section 1204 of the South Bloomfield Township Zoning Resolution.
