The South Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees will be holding a public meeting and Trustee Zoning Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Sparta Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 6605 State Route 229 Sparta, OH 43350.
The Trustee Zoning Public Hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. to consider a recommendation adopted by the South Bloomfield Zoning Commission suggesting denial of an application filed by William D. Short and Tony Porter, on behalf of Short Family Trust, Donald Porter and Wilson Family, property owners, to rezone 11.29 acres, parcel N36-001-00-287-04, located on State Route 229, Marengo OH 43334 from AR-1 (agricultural - residential) to M-1 (light industrial district) to allow for equipment yard to store asphalt equipment. In accordance with Section 1204 of the South Bloomfield Township Zoning Resolution, at the conclusion of the public hearing, the Board of Trustees shall have 20 days to approve, deny or conditionally approve the application. Other administrative business, including the potential to initiate amendment to the South Bloomfield Township Zoning Resolution to regulate small solar farms, may be discussed after the public hearing.

The Board generally meets at 7:30 p.m. on the **SECOND THURSDAY** of the month at the Sparta Wastewater Treatment Facility, located at 6605 State Route 229, Sparta, Ohio 43350.
The Zoning Commission, Tom Clark (Chairman), Clay Hilton (Vice Chairman), Chris Barnett (Secretary), Jay Coe and Brian Swank are appointed resident volunteers focused on reviewing and making recommendations regarding zoning code and map amendments.
The Board of Zoning Appeals, Joe Erb, Lewis Kinney, Hope Messmer, Mike Ray and Donna Ufferman are appointed resident volunteers focused on deciding zoning appeals, conditional uses and variances.
Township Trustees are providing address signs for township residents. In conjunction with the Central Ohio Joint Fire District, the township is providing green, reflective address signs for all township residential properties to aid emergency services in identifying and finding properties in the event of an emergency.
